A good consultation isn't a sales pitch — it's the foundation of the entire project. This is where I get to understand your goals, your budget, and how you actually live in your space, before a single design decision gets made. Skipping this step (or rushing it) is one of the biggest reasons renovations go sideways later on.

Step 1: The Initial Conversation

We'll start with a conversation about your space, your goals, and your budget. Whether it's a kitchen renovation in Surrey or a full home refresh in Vancouver, I want to understand how you live in your space before we talk design.

Step 2: A Walkthrough of Your Space

For most projects, I'll walk through the space in person — measuring, taking photos, and getting a feel for the natural light, flow, and any structural quirks that will shape the design.

Step 3: Concept Development

After the walkthrough, I put together initial concepts — mood boards, rough spatial layouts, and material direction — based on what we discussed. This is where your vision starts taking visual shape.

Step 4: Scope and Budget Alignment

Before any design work moves forward, I make sure the scope and budget are aligned. This avoids the common frustration of falling in love with a design that doesn't match the original budget.

Step 5: Moving Into Design and Execution

Once we're aligned, the real design process begins — material selection, contractor coordination, and project management through to final styling.
