Transforming a Vancouver Condo with Smarter Design

Located in the heart of Commercial Drive, this East Vancouver condo renovation focused on making a compact home feel brighter, more spacious, and better suited to modern living. The homeowners wanted a kitchen that offered significantly more storage while creating a stronger connection to the surrounding living spaces.

One of the key design strategies was maximizing the full height and width of the kitchen wall with custom cabinetry, dramatically increasing storage without making the room feel enclosed. By rethinking the layout, we were able to introduce a pass-through that improved sightlines, encouraged conversation while entertaining, and made the kitchen feel more connected to the rest of the home.

Natural light and openness were equally important. Crisp white walls, carefully positioned pot lights, and a striking full-height backsplash work together to create a kitchen that feels larger than its footprint while maintaining a clean, contemporary aesthetic.

The renovation extended into the bathroom, creating a cohesive design language throughout the condo. Custom cabinetry from Merit Kitchens, Caesarstone quartz countertops, and thoughtfully selected lighting completed a renovation designed to improve both functionality and everyday enjoyment.
