A Timeless Black and White Bathroom Designed to Endure

While another ensuite in this East Vancouver home embraced bold colour and dramatic contrast, this bathroom took a different approach. The homeowners wanted a space that felt calm, bright, and timeless—a bathroom that would remain just as elegant years from now as it is today.

The design centred around a classic black-and-white palette, proving that simplicity can be just as impactful as bold colour. White subway tile creates a clean backdrop throughout the shower, while black mosaic floor tile within the shower adds subtle texture and contrast. Outside the shower, black-and-white mosaic flooring ties the entire space together, creating visual continuity throughout the room.

An all-white vanity paired with a quartz countertop enhances the sense of openness, allowing natural light to reflect throughout the space while maintaining a crisp, refined aesthetic. Every material was carefully selected to balance durability, functionality, and timeless design.

The result is a bathroom that feels sophisticated without being overly complicated—a space designed to serve the homeowners beautifully for many years to come.
