Expanding a North Vancouver Home with a Custom Luxury Ensuite

The greatest compliment a designer can receive is being invited back for another project. After working together previously, these Lynn Valley homeowners returned to create a private ensuite that would provide the space, comfort, and functionality they had always envisioned.

Rather than renovating the existing bathroom, the project began with a 400-square-foot addition built above the home's games room. Extending three exterior walls allowed us to create a spacious primary ensuite while carefully matching the existing siding and roofing, ensuring the addition blended seamlessly with the original architecture.

The expanded footprint made it possible to design a truly luxurious retreat. An oversized walk-in shower, generous custom storage, a dedicated makeup vanity, and a full-height mirror were thoughtfully integrated into the layout. Heated floors, heated mirrors, layered lighting, and concealed LED accent lighting add comfort and ambience, creating a space that feels both elegant and highly functional.

Every design decision focused on creating a bathroom that supports the homeowners' daily routines while providing the comfort and quality expected from a luxury ensuite. The result is a timeless addition that enhances both the home and the way the homeowners experience it every day.
