Upper Lynn Valley Kitchen & Bathroom Renovation
Bringing West Coast Living Indoors
Nestled among the trees of Upper Lynn Valley, this North Vancouver home was transformed to better embrace the natural beauty that surrounds it. The homeowners wanted a brighter, warmer interior that reflected the relaxed character of West Coast living while improving the functionality of both the kitchen and bathroom.
The original kitchen felt enclosed and disconnected from the rest of the home. By removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, we created an open-concept layout that immediately improved sightlines, circulation, and the overall feeling of space. To further strengthen the connection with the outdoors, an additional north-facing window was introduced and the existing patio doors were enlarged, allowing significantly more natural light to fill the home throughout the day.
Inspired by the surrounding landscape, the interior palette focused on warm wood tones, soft neutral finishes, and natural materials that create a welcoming atmosphere while complementing the home's forested setting. The same design language continued into the bathroom, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic throughout the renovation.
Custom cabinetry by Merit Kitchens, Cambria quartz countertops, and carefully selected lighting complete a renovation designed to feel timeless, functional, and distinctly West Coast.
