Transforming an Outdated Ensuite into a Spa-Inspired Retreat

Located in West Vancouver, this ensuite renovation was designed to create a private sanctuary where the homeowners could begin and end each day in comfort. Their existing bathroom, centred around a large built-in jacuzzi tub, no longer reflected the way they lived or the atmosphere they wanted to create.

Rather than simply replacing fixtures, we completely reimagined the space around relaxation and everyday functionality. The oversized jacuzzi tub was replaced with an elegant freestanding bathtub, creating a lighter, more open feel while allowing the bathroom to become a true place of retreat. A spacious walk-in shower with aromatherapy features offers a luxurious experience, whether starting the day or winding down in the evening.

Comfort was thoughtfully integrated throughout the design. Heated tile floors, a heated towel warmer, and a heated backlit mirror provide warmth during every season, while layered lighting creates the flexibility to transition from bright morning routines to a calm, spa-like atmosphere at night.

To complete the renovation, a frameless glass shower enclosure preserves open sightlines and natural light, while custom cabinetry and additional storage above the toilet ensure the space remains uncluttered and highly functional. Every detail was carefully considered to create an ensuite that feels timeless, luxurious, and designed around the homeowners' lifestyle.
